About Artist : I.B.O.M.S.
Jabari Reed-Diop is what my mother calls me but my artist name is iBOMS. I’m a 21 year old artist out of St. Petersburg, Florida. Throughout my artistic journey I have acquired many skills. I’ve been exposed to different mediums as well as various ways to visualize my ideas. My experience and skills stem from my education at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, located in Jacksonville, FL. and my consistent determination to better my craft. I’ve been inspired to create and bring to life every possible thought. Upon first glance my work may seem as simple illustrations and graffiti but each piece has a very unique story to tell. Some of self love, destruction and discovery. The purpose of my work is to catch and draw the viewer in to create that “awe” experience while exposing them into my world. The world of a young African American male! I do this by painting and creating lively characters that at glance you may not think there was story behind it. But like in life everything wants to appear blissful but unbenounced to everyone else a dark river runs beneath the surface.

About the Exhibit. Acoustic dreams is a joint collaboration between Gasparilla Music
Foundation and Mergeculture Gallery, who both share a similar vision of bringing the best of
local, national, and international talent to provide inspiring creative energy to the Tampa Bay
Area. This exhibit features over 20 acoustic guitars that were beyond the state of repair,
resurrected into a new life of visual art by over 20 artists. The exhibit features work by Brian
Butler, Hoxxoh, Atomik, and other Miami based artists such as Nico and Remote. The exhibit
also features local favorites, such as Noah Deledda, known for his geometric can sculptures, as
well as I.B.O.M.S. and Mize Gallery owner and artist Chad Mize. The guitars will be auctioned
off starting on August 13th at 5pm. 50% of the selling price will go towards Recycled Tunes
which provides new and used instruments to Title 1 music classrooms and students
(RecycledTunesFlorida.com).
