Exploring the authenticity of Tampa through subculture, mergeCulture teamed up with a few staple producers in the area to cultivate an exploration of Tampa’s Unique Authentic Identity : BEAT CITY AKA PRODUCERS PARADISE. Often we might take for granted the lush, green tropical climate of Florida, and the unique aspects of Tampa – which is an underground city. Tampa is full of the unknown, every single neighborhood is named in this city, and nobody really knows where they are, except with friends who love the same things they do. There’s so much love in this city for creativity and that is what we are celebrating. Artist ILLSOL put together some designs with some friends to celebrate Tampa as BEAT CITY – A place where producers thrive. Accompanied by the sounds of Sponatola and Friends – vibe out at Kress Contemporary on the Second Floor with artists pop-ups (such as Dylan Perry & others), see the Summer Invitational Exhibit at mergeCulture and the Junkyard Solo Exhibit at Honey Gallery.
