These are one of one custom Reebok Classics in size 9. These shoes are painted by artist Blade from the South Bronx.
Blade has painted over 5000 NYC subway cars, being from the south Bronx, he was a pioneer of NYC subway graffiti from ’72 – ’84 before the “Clean Train Movement” implemented in 1985. In 1984, Martha Cooper gave blade his first canvas, and he entered the gallery market.
Mergeculture gallery rates Blades pieces as “excellent” for art investing. There were only 20 of these shoes in existence with this stand, from this exhibit. They are sure to appreciate in value.
